{"id":331,"date":"2024-03-23T14:06:01","date_gmt":"2024-03-23T14:06:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nbpba.co.uk\/?p=331"},"modified":"2024-04-14T21:47:33","modified_gmt":"2024-04-14T21:47:33","slug":"hhj-gosnell-valedictory-28-3-24","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nbpba.co.uk\/index.php\/2024\/03\/23\/hhj-gosnell-valedictory-28-3-24\/","title":{"rendered":"HHJ Gosnell Valedictory 28.03.24"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong><u>Valedictory for His Honour Judge Mark Gosnell<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>Thursday 28.03.24 \u2013 9.45am start<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>Leeds Combined Court Centre \u2013 Courtroom to be confirmed<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>His Honour Judge Mark Gosnell is retiring from the bench.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>His valedictory will take place on&nbsp;<strong>Thursday 28.03.24 from 9.45am<\/strong>&nbsp;and will be conducted by HHJ Thomas Bayliss K.C.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>HHJ Gosnell has had a long and successful career as a judge:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1993: Appointed as a Deputy District Judge (whilst working as a solicitor and as a partner in a firm in Lancashire)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1998: Appointed as a District Judge (and a Regional Costs Judge) in Manchester<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2005: Appointed as a Recorder in criminal and civil jurisdictions<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2010: Appointed as a Circuit Judge and the Designated Civil Judge of Leeds and North Yorkshire<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2012: Appointed as the Designated Civil Judge for Bradford and West Yorkshire<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You do not need to register to attend. Details of which courtroom will be used will be confirmed by the receptionists at the Court on the day.
